Bring in your favorite book and illustrate the cover (or a scene or character from it) onto a large cookie using edible paints with toothpicks and brushes. Check out one of the new books at the Library for inspiration and ideas. There is a fee of $7.00 due when you register beginning Saturday, March 3 at 9:00 a.m. Please present your Islip Library Card when registering for this program. Registration begins Saturday, March 3rd at 9:00 a.m. Long Island Reads 2007 Long Island Reads 2007 What’s All That Jazz About? Sunday, April 22nd 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. In celebration of The Color of Water, award-winning jazz saxophonist and Tierra Records recording artist, Shenole Latimer, will be performing along with piano accompaniment on our Steinway grand piano. The performance will include various jazz standards, as well as some original compositions.
